One of the psychological barriers that stop people from advertising efffectively or maximising the presentation of their website is that they feel that they always need to create and present something that is totally unique and 'mind blowing'. In reality this angst can be easily overcome by learning the lessons from those people who are acknowledged as 'best of class' in whichever business sector you operate in.
Disregarding those players who have the luxury of simply reinforcing their brands, rather than seeking a more direct return on investment, the likes of Coca Cola, Virgin et al, most of the key players in a market have perfected their marketing message through extensive testing and measurement over numerous campaigns. Consequently, by doing some research you can glean how they present themselves, the keywords that they use and the sales techniques they adopt.
Beyond this I would suggest that you take their learning and apply it for your own use rather than re-invent the wheel (which may end up square in any case!) or beating yourself up because you haven't been able to find that elusive new angle.
Of course I'm not advocating that you take their text and copy it wholesale, plagiarism in any field is to be despised, but to re-write in your own words (and true to the culture of your own business) the main thrust of their presentation. This will allow you to take action confident that the style of your promotion is based on proven success.
