In the world of Internet Marketing the overused cliche is that the 'money is in the list' but as with all or most cliches these are borne out of there being truth in the sayings.

For the Internet Marketer having an 'opt in' list is like gold dust. Once they have the list participant's agreement to be communicated to they can then sell to them in earnest. Of course the preferred method of communication is the email - it's so easy and low cost. Auto responders can be set up so that the communication process becomes automated - countless messages can be pre-loaded to be distributed at pre-determined frequencies - 'auto pilot' is another cliche you see many times in articles on this subject.

So how to attract people in the first place? The answer is to give them something of value at Yorkshire's best price i.e. FREE! This is where the giving of digital products can be so beneficial. Once you have the resell rights for a sought after digital product you can use this as the carrot to have people opt-in to your list and you give them ongoing free material to keep them subscribed. There's no doubt it works and you should look for opportunities to incorporate this tactic on your own websites in order to capture the site's visitors, perhaps by providing a free report, white paper or other incentive to have your visitors leave their details.
